WALTER HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY WALTER came into the rescue from Northern FL: as a street stray. He was dumped in a high kill area (where farmers shoot dogs) who venture into their property to protect livestock. He found his way to a family who immediately realized he was a fabulous dog but could not keep him. They did search for 2 weeks to find an owner with no luck on any social media pages, vets and word of mouth in the area. I received the call last week and we took him in this morning. Walter is a sweet super friendly and affectionate dog. He loves cats, dogs and especially people and would make a fabulous pet for any family. He has all shots, HW Neg, unchipped and not neutered, both of which we will take care of this coming week. He is really untrained. He appears to be housebroken but that is yet an unknown. he had zero accidents with the family that found him. He is in foster now with another friendly shep (male) and he seems great. He is engaged and eager to interact with everyone. He weighs about 80 pounds and he was well cared for. He is a combo between black and tan and sable, a handsome mix coloration. He appears to be about 3-4 years old.
