JOJO HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY JOJO is a super sweet 1 yr old black and tan neutered male GSD. He is a really friendly dog with people and dogs. He was adopted out by us in Jan'23 and went to a home with a smaller dog. He was fostered with 2 small dogs and did well. In the adopted home he wanted to play, all of the time, with the little dog ( who is 12) and the family has decided that he was just toooo much for the little guy, and wants to rehome JoJo. He will be fostered at that same home until adopted. He wants attention and need to have a strong alpha owner. He has 'butt nipped' the mom to get attention when she was playing with the little guy. He would be great in a home with another GSD or larger dog so he would have a playmate and not be constantly asking for attention.
He seems ok with cats ( since he was originally in a home with 3 cats) but the jury is still out on all cats. He did live with 3 cats and he was great with them. He is playful and well trained, housebroken and affectionate. He would be great for homes with older kids but not necessarily with the elderly, as he is a puppy and, as such, is still s ditz possibly knocking people over in play and demanding attention. He weighs about 80 pounds and will be 95 pounds when fully grown. He was relinquished by his owner because of her need to care for a family member and loved him and cared for him perfectly. He is on a special Purina digestive diet but is healthy and HW neg, neutered and has all shots and a chip. His original owner trained him well ion basic commands and he is both e-collar literate and off lead trained. His basic issue is that he wants your attention all of the time and should be placed with another active dog to drain that energy.
