RIVER HAS A NEW HOME RIVER came into the rescue last Nov and is being fostered in Punta Gorda. He was initially adopted out but after these 5 months he just doesn't fit the pack structure we put him in. He is a social and well behaved dog and is totally fine around other dogs. he isn't good with cats. He has been living with 3 other eclectic dogs and was fine for the most part, but he just doesn't fit and we have decided to rehome him to a single dog household. He doesn't take well to cats and therefore needs a no cat home. He was in the Clewiston shelter for over 45 days before he came to us. This basically is a dog no one wanted and has new been with a family and done well. His issue is membership in the pre-existing pack structure. He is a possibly a sable male, neutered GSD, with a fabulous personality and temperament. He is great with people and dogs outside the home and will be a fabulous pet albeit we recommend he be an only child. He was neutered at AWL in Nov 2022, and received all shots and a chip. He is a big dog and will be about 100 pounds when fully grown. He is about 1.5 yrs old. He is housebroken and pretty well trained in basic obedience skills. He is healthy and very keen on learning. He is a sable color. He accepts direction well and would fit in most any home situation. Although he was not tested with kids, I see no reason why he wouldn't be fine with kids over 10 years old.
