ACHILLES HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY

UPDATE
ACHILLES came into the rescue again today 7/10/21, from an owner relinquishment. His prior owner had given him up to us back in Feb and he was adopted through the rescue. His second owner has now gone through a divorce and has returned him to us by contract.
He is absolutely gorgeous and he has a great temperament with kids (babies) people and dogs and yes even a cat or two. He was reported to be alpha and that may be the case in certain circumstances, but what we have seen here with our dogs, and for the past 5 months he was and is very well adjusted and happy. He is great with people and has lived his life with a Golden and a Puggle but has been he seems to be fine with cats and smaller dogs. He is in a foster now with 3 sheps, a husky and two kids and two cats and the verdict is Perfect. He had not been around small kids but for now we see no temperament issues which would indicate he is fine with older kids, baby's is another question. The 14 moth old he has been with this ast week was his baby, he was so gentle and affectionate with him it was amazing. His foster has a 1 yr old and they too seems a perfect fit. He is on a special prescription ID diet for a sensitive stomach so his food is strictly controlled. He is neutered, UTD on shots and HW Neg. He has had some basic skills training but needs way more social training. His second owner did take him through all required training and he is very obedient, house broken and social. He does well on a leash, he has been to doggy day care in play groups and he seeks attention from people. He is 75 pounds and 2.9 years old. He is handsome sable, more to the darker (medium) side of the color. He is in foster and available with an appointment after filing an application.
