SWEET MIKA # 1 HAS A NEW HOME

UPDATE ADOPTION PENDING

I’ve had Mika and Raven in my home for a couple of weeks. They are both such sweet and loving dogs.

Raven likes to just be with you – she’ll lay by you while you work and follow you around the house. She is also content to sit on the back porch and enjoy the view. She does love to play with frisbees and balls – she’s a bit overweight, but she still loves to try and jump and catch them. She really enjoys tug of war, and loves to give you a toy, wait for you to try and take it and then snatch it away.

Mika has quite a bit more energy – she loves to play with toys that make noises, and she loves when I throw the toy to the top of the stairs and she has to run up and get it – She loves to be outside and watch the birds and squirrels. Unfortunately she is a fence climber and once something distracts her she will make a run for it.

They are both great with kids – I have (2) four year old grand daughters and they were both very good with them. Mika especially, as she would let the girls comb her and brush her and they followed her all over my playground. Raven enjoyed the girls just sitting and petting her.

Both dogs really enjoy going for walks, and get very excited when you pull out the leash! Also, both dogs are housebroken – not one accident since they have been with me.

Raven has some good manners, seems to know to sit and stay and come when called. Mika not so much – she knows her name well, but if she’s gone over the fence and is distracted she is difficult to catch as she doesn’t just come when called.

Erick - I hope this helps. These are such great dogs and I know there is a perfect family for them out there.

Thank you so much for what you do.

MIKA # 1 (as we have had another Mika this year) came to us today from Ft Myers since her owner passed away suddenly. Mika came in with her sister Raven. They are a bonded pair but they can be split up. Mika is a bit less sure about things than her sister but goes with the flow. Mika is house broken, utd on all shots and to the best of our knowledge prior to testing HW Neg. She is spayed and in excellent health. She is 4 years old and engaged, dog and people friendly, untested with cats and overall a very good looking girl. She is probably a shep-husky mix in that she has blue eyes and a shep body. Mika needs basic obedience training but is engaged and loving. If you are interested in this beauty please let me know asap.
She was adopted with her sister to a family in Lakeland. Mika proved to be the more engaged one of the pair so while Raven is more of a couch potato Mika is a jumper and runner. She has cleared the 4 foot fence in her yard numerous times and visits the neighbors and people on the street. This is not only a problem for the neighbors but it disrupts her 'work from home da' so much so that it has become the cause for their collective return. Mika is super sweet and just wants to be petted but does now that we know, require a 6 foot fence and some TRAINING so that she will want to stay and not try and escape. The good news is that shew doesn't go anywhere but around the house but her behavior needs to be changed so she stays put and that is done with training and a bigger fence! She is great with kids, all people and all dogs as far as we know.
