RALPHY HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY
HE WAS ADOPTED OUT BY HIS OWNERS TO SOMEONE OUTSIDE OUR RESCUE. RAKPHY is a 2.5 year old male black and tan GSD. He is neutered and will have all shots. We believe he has them already, but we are verifying the record. He is also being tested for HW, but I am confident he is NEG. He was well cared for by his first owned family..." who had so many children they didn't know what to do".... yes the old shoe story, but Ralphy got the boot when they decided the family was big enough. He was then transferred to a trainer who didn't have the time for him and then to another family. That third family has tuned him over to us for rehoming.
Ralphy is a high energy dog who wants to please you and who needs attention and training. He knows his basic commands but he needs basic obedience skills from any new owner. He bonded quickly with is last male master and is quite obedient and friendly to everyone. He likes people and kids and has lived with dogs and seemed to be OK with our cat when tested today. He has been transferred a few times but he is still happy and engaged. As a high energy super smart dog, he would be great for agility and any running sport. He is very focused, listens and loves to be petted and to be with people. He takes treats softly and wants to do whatever he thinks you want him to do. He is a talker when he wants to play and he likes to squeak toys. He is house trained, not destructive but needs crate training. He willingly goes into the crate but has to be taught that he is not being left as he was previously. He has some separation anxiety but he calms quickly.
This is a really good looking happy dog who will make anyone a great pet. He does need to have someone to play with so if you are not able to do that he would not be the best dog for you.
