SWEET EVEE AKA SHANA HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY

EVEE, NOW AKA AS SHANA IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION EVEE came to the rescue today 6/30 as a result of a severe illness in the family. Here's her story:
Evee was hit by a car and had 2 surgeries, one on her leg and one on her him. Both were successful. She remains in two casts, one for each issue. The casts will be off in about 8 weeks time. The first cast on her leg was actually due to an abrasion caused after the hip surgery which needed to heal. The wound was significant and is now in its final stages of healing and requires a bandage changed every 10 days. She must have a vet do it to make sure the healing process is going as planned. That cast basically covers her entire leg but the abrasion is at the elbow so the cast needed to cover a large area in order to stay in place.
The second set of what appear to be soft pillows on her other leg are holding the pins in place. These also will be coming off in 5-6 weeks max and after that she will be able to more freely move around.
She can walk OK but awkwardly and her owner now carries her up stairs and uses the harness to pee and poop. She is a trooper and tolerate all of this unwanted pain and attention well. She is NOT on any drugs but will need physical therapy (basically swimming) after these devices are removed.
She will be able to walk, then run and then play like any other dog in a few months time but the new family must be in a position to understand her limitations now and in the near term, so that she can be totally normal in the long term.
Evee is 16 months old. She is HW Neg, housebroken and as sweet as any dog possibly can be with people and dogs. She is untested with cats but i would say that show would be fine based on my interaction with her today. She is very underweight because of her surgeries and a lousy eater from what we are being told. She responds to pets and treats but none the less she is not a good eater. Evee is a beautiful red and black and her fur is like cotton and her temperament matches it to a T. She is totally content being sedentary and has adapted to her situation well. Once she is able to get around I think you will see the 16 month old puppy emerge. She is smart enough however to accept what she can't change and tolerate her condition.... kind of like I did 2 years ago in the hospital!
Evee will be in foster in Englewood (as of now) and available to be seen IMMEDIATELY.
