HANDSOME MR GIBBS IS STAYING HOME GIBBS, Named after the NCIS character is a handsome black and tan 2.5 year old neutered male GSD. He weighs about 70 pounds and he is in great shape. Gibbs is healthy, has all shots and he is basically trained. he is house broken and has been in a family with a lab and a 1 year old child. He is a dog who has been sheltered and is a bit wary of strangers. he will bark initially but quickly warms up and is a love. he is extremely affectionate with his family who just doesn't have any time for him.
He was purchased as a puppy and given puppy and basic obedience classes. His training lapsed and was not at all reinforced. He craves things to do and has no real direction. Left to his own devices he will tare up a stuff toy or chew one of the baby's toys because he had no toy box of his own. He was basically left to fend for himself and consistently made the best of things. He is crate trained but does get reactive when someone approaches the crate until he recognizes them and calms down. he like the crate door open and will go in readily but we recommend not crating him log term. He is a sweet dog who loves ball and hands on affection but has been neglected due exclusively to the families lack of time for him. He was loved but not really integrated into the family. If you can give this tremendous boy what he needs, he will be you best bud forever.
