HANDSOME STANLEY HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY
A family will be picking him up this week. STANLEY came to us today FRIDAY THE 13TH, 5/13/16, but he's anything other than unlucky. We saved him and now he has everything to look forward to. Stanley is a neutered semi long hair black GSD. We do believe that he could be a slight mix but he has a GSD personality and mannerisms so he is definitely a shep. He is solid muscle and weighs about 75 pounds 30 of which is hair. He has an exquisite face, coat and structure and is an energetic 1. year old male. He has great teeth and hips but is HW POSITIVE which of course we will treat in Ft Myers.
Stanley is really untrained he knows sit and does come to his new name. He is extremely affectionate and has bonded with me quickly. He is a young dog no more than 1. years and super sweet.. He seems to like ball but he is adjusting to my home and kennel so we are really not quite sure what he likes and what he doesn't. He is currently in foster in North Port. He is confident and not at all skittish. He comes right up to you for rubs and doesn't seem to be big kisser but this is only hour 1! Stanley will go into foster care tomorrow 5/14/16 and we will get a far better idea of his personality. We do know he is basically untrained and needs basic obedience but he is calm and playful and not at all wild. Besides seemingly house broken (still unsure) he has no house manners and did already jump on my desk. Now that he has been here 24 hours we do think he is housebroken but a counter surfer none the less. He was corrected and seemed to understand NO and not to go on counters and hasn't done it again. He is crate trained and went in and stayed there readily. He was just neutered 5/13/16 but has boundless energy which is a good trait to have for an active family.
