SERINA HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY

she may not be coming in until mid to late may Serina is a 10 month old female mostly black German Shepherd dog. She is gong to be spayed on May 13th at the AWL so anyone adopting her must agree to bring her there and post a $500 bond in order to make that guaranty.
Serina is housebroken and had lived with small children. She is untrained in so far as formal obedience training goes. She has not ever been properly socialized and needs to be in a class immediately. SHE DOES JUMP WITH THE KIDS BUT IS QUITE OK WITH SCREAMING AND CHAOS. She is fine with people after an introduction and was eating treats out of my hand in 2 minutes. She can be a sweet loving dog, but introduce change and she is anxious and reactive. She is just scared of dogs because she never met any besides her sister and a few family dogs. We believe that she can be brought up to speed in just a few weeks time and will be in a doggy boot camp situation soon...she is an otherwise sweet loving girl. Because she was untrained she learned a few bad habits but many other good ones. She is crate trained and treat responsive. She does tend to distrust people when she first meets you. She is good with people after a few minutes and sweet soft speech and seeks out attention readily when she is comfortable. She is crate trained and obedient around the home and not at all destructive.
Serina weighs about 65 pounds and is treat motivated and eager to learn. She definitely needs a strong alpha to bring her along as she already knows that she can get away with most anything. We will have photos of this beautiful girl later today 4/28 as well as more information on her temperament and training levels. We need a family that has the time to train her and to spend with her right away. She is being rehomed because of her behavior and her owners inability to address the issue of training. She is a good dog who deserves a chance.
