SHADOW HAS A HOME AND FAMILY Shadow first came to us back on 4/17/15, from a farm in Alva. The owner passed and his wife needs to relocate and cannot take Shadow or Rusty with her. Rusty and Shadow are brothers. Shadow by far was the more outgoing of the two and will seek out attention more readily. He was re-homed for 2.5 months and was attacked by a smaller dog in the home so we decided to extract him and rehome him. hE WAS AGAIN REHOMED IN APRIL 15 to a young family where he thrived. He loved his new family and loves their young son. He walks 6 miles a day and is in good shape, healthy heartworm negative and neutered. He loves to be petted, He is calm and submissive and walks well on a leash. Initially he seemed to have some minor hip issues but he is now down a few pounds and is walking and running perfectly. He is very very laid back and needs a family who wants a slow mover and a lover. Shadow had no training and now does have a complete basic course under his belt and is very obedient. He comes willingly when called and loves to be petted and he loves kids and people. Neither Shadow or his Brother Rusty were Jumpers and neither are aggressive in any way. They do simply alert when someone enters the farm road, but beyond that they are gentle sweet tempered dogs.
Shadow is a black and tan male, weighing 90 pounds. His teeth are poor because they have been ground down due to boredom and eating or chewing on rocks. Shadow is in otherwise good overall health and he is a loving dog. He has been neutered and he is house broken, gentle and not at all destructive. He, like his brother, were outside dogs and were not house broken when they came but now after house training both have learned and are fine in any home. Shadow does like everyone and seeks out people and he is dog friendly but HE HAS SHOW POSSESSIVENESS OF HIS OWNERS AND THEREFORE WE WANT NO OTHER DOGS IN THE HOME. HE SEEMS TO LIKE FEMALES BETTER AND WOULD BE A GREAT PROTECTOR!

UPDATE 8/31/15: Shadow spent the day with me. He is a special dog. heis engaged, loving, affectionate and totally into life and loyalty. He is a great dog and will make a fabulous pet to the right family or home. If you want a great dog and have no other critters please consider Shadow... I love this dog.

Shadow is now 8 years old and in good condition. He loves kids and will make a great companion.
