HANDSOME KOBY HAS A NEW HOME AND FAMILY Koby is a 2.5 year old neutered long hair male German Shepherd. He is black and tan and weighs about 80 pounds. Koby is coming from a truly loving home and whose owners will keep him until he is re-homed. He is heart worm negative, chipped and has all shots. They are turning him over to us because their jobs have made it impossible to continue to give him the attention he needs. Koby is trained, loving, super dog friendly, not destructive and kid friendly. He loves to be on walks, play ball and basically do whatever you are doing. He is a calm dog and very loving and suitable for any family. He is not at all aggressive nor protective as a rule except of course if his owners would be in any danger, but otherwise very calm. He will be available over the weekend and we will have new photos of him as well as have him here for a visit. If Koby seems like a dog you would want to meet, please call for an appointment.
This was written by his owner and as you can see it comes from the heart:
Dear Erik,
I would like to give you and the potential adoptees some insight on my boy Kobe. He is about 3 years old and still a puppy if you ask me. He is a very mellow dog and truly is the epitome of what a good companion pet should be. His only wish is to be with his family everywhere we go. He loves to go for long walks and car rides. He loves to cuddle up between my wife and I on the couch and watch movies! He enjoys hide and seek and chasing games. He is very friendly with adults and children, however he is very uncomfortable with other animals (dogs and cats to be specific). When I got him he was heart worm negative but had a different type of worm in his intestines which was cleared up with a one time dose of a medication provided by his veterinarian at the PG Animal Hospital. He was 45lbs when I got him and now he is close to 85lbs with a very nice and shiny coat; he gets groomed once a month professionally and we brush him daily. He eats a premium dog food we buy from Costco (salmon flavor) and he tolerates that very well. He is very well mannered, he does not beg for food, he knows his basic commands, he is not destructive and he is potty and crate trained. His only negative is that he has anxiety when we leave him at home, whether it is for 5 mins or for a few hours he can't handle being home alone to well.
It breaks my heart to write this letter or to even fathom the thought of giving up my buddy, but I feel that it is the responsible thing to do for his benefit! It just isn't fair for him to not receive the exercise and attention that my wife and I were once able to provide. I know one thing for a fact, and that is whom ever is lucky enough to adopt Kobe will find a truly amazing companion dog that has more love and loyalty to offer than any human being in this world!
Best Regards,
Ed
