UPDATE: New family coming Sunday. Crystal came in yesterday. She is a beautiful classic black and tan female GSD. She is about 1 year old to the best of our ability to guess. She will be given shots and she will be spayed 12/3 so whoever takes her before that date will be required to post a bond and to bring her back on that date. She is somewhat trained and quite possibly house broken. We have tested her and she is heart worm positive. We will treat her heart worm of course at our expense for any family adopting her.
She was found in someone's back yard locked in a fence which is the perfect dump situation. The kind folks who found her could not keep her and brought her to us. She was chipped, but the phone number was bogus and there was no dog name nor owner address on file. They did try and find the owners and posted signs and visited a number of vets to no avail and she was delivered here.
This is one super sweet dog. She is totally dog friendly, kid friendly and yet untested with cats. She was well groomed leading us to believe that she was just dumped by the owners.
Crystal as we named her weighs about 50 pounds and can easily gain 5-10 pounds. She has 1+ years of growth left and will fill out perfectly. It appears she had some training and does sit on command. She seeks out attention readily and likes everyone and all dogs. She is a real kid friendly pup.
As is our normal rule she would require participation in class immediately which will be collected upon picking up the dog along with a $500 bond for her spay. If you think you have what it takes to deal with an energetic puppy give us a call asap.
