GEMMA STAYED IN HER FAMILY

GEMMA NEEDS A HOME AND SHE WILL BE AT PETSMART TODAY SAT AND TOMORROW SUNDAY 11/15-11/16 IN PORT CHARLOTTE
For new Gemma is staying wiith her mom Gemma will be coming into our rescue over the weekend and may be available to be adopted at the PetsMart event on Cochran Blvd in POrt Charlotte.
Gemma is a 9 month old female spayed silver and black GSD. She is up on all shots and a super sweet girl. She is being relinquished from a loving family with small kids because she got into a problem with her small older dog and the owner felt that she owed the smaller senior a good life and with the stress put on by a playful GSD that the dog would not have that. This is a good dog but from what we know seemingly possessive of her things with little dogs, BUT NOT OTHER GSD'S OR LARGER DOGS. She foes to the dog park, was socialized properly and is great with dogs her size but because she is a bit 'bitch' no pun intended, she should be in a home with only larger dogs. She loves kids and is super playful but needs obedience training which will be a requirement of ownership and paid to us at the time of adoption. She is house trained and somewhat obedience trained but was just too much dog for her owners. She is available immediately but is being housed in her home in Naples until we can move her to the kennel here. We have not yet met her but from our understanding she is a good girl who has not been able to work into her home and has not really bonded to her family. Gemma is about 75 pounds, in excellent health, well cared for, never traumatized and social. We do not know if she likes cats or how she is exactly with dogs but she was loving in her home and with kids and visitors. We will know much more in the coming days but if you wish to see her please call and make an appointment for Monday afternoon when we expect her to arrive here in Punta Gorda.
