CLIFFORD IS ABOUT 5-6 AND HE IS IN GOOD HEALTH, HW NEG FIXED BUT SUPER LONELY AND IN DIRE NEEDS OF A FAMILY.
update Whoppie Clifford went to his new mom today 9/28/13 Clifford is a fabulous dog....He is trained, is obedient, loves everyone and everything. He is great with people, dog and cats and would be suitable for any family. He walks well on a leash, but rarely needs one. He sits and hold hands and comes on command. He is housebroken and crate trained and simply a pleasure to have around. He is a totally delightful dog to be around and he is really beautiful.
He does have what seems to be a cloudy eye, but I took him to the vet and she says he is fine and that there are NO cataracts and no vision issues. Clifford does seem to have a pancreas issue where his body does not make enough enzymes to properly digest his food. We have had him to 4 vets and done blood work on him. He is now on a script for enzyme replacement powder which seems to be working. He will be on that for life. It is not at all expensive and provides him the component he is missing. He has put on 6 pounds since we got him last week. He is HW Negative but needs 20 more pounds to be the right weight for his size. He is a big dog with soft eyes and a personality to match. This week he just started playing ball, so we know he is doing better mentally. The time he spent on death row was traumatic to him to say the least. He did not want to swim yesterday with the boys but I will continue to teach him today. He is a big boy and has an unbelievable disposition. His temperament is totally sweet and one of the calmest dogs I have ever met. He takes change well and does as he is told. I would recommend him for any family, young or old as he has lots to give and will be an active dog with an active family. Clifford would be a great dog for anyone retired who wants a companion and anyone who would accept a middle aged dog knowing that he needs you as much as you may need him.
