BEAUTIFUL IVORY HAS A NEW BROTHER AND A FOREVER HOME
Beautiful Ivory, who was named again by her new mom and dad when home today. What a great feeling to see this shelter dog get a great new family!
I just met and named Ivory since she came in with Ebony... natural combo I thought.
Ivory is a sweet female black and tan GSD, and she is about 1 year old. She will be spade as soon as she is picked for adoption. She is HW Negative and was found as a street stray. She has never been bred and was not from a puppy mill as far as we know. She has had zero training and does jump but it is only to kiss you. She can easily be trained not to jump but I would recommend a household without any small kids. This is a truly gentle dog. She loves her belly rubs and has no aggression to people or other animals. She is rambunctious but in a total puppy type way. She just wants to play and have fun and needs some immediate basic training. We would recommend and require at least 12 weeks of training for her to finally have a tremendous dog. She is responsive to human touch and seeks out attention readily. She would make a perfect family dog with older kids.
Ivory has one ear that comes up sometimes and flops other times, and one ear that is up and down all the time. She likes putting them up and down so catching pictures of her with her ears up was a challenge. Her temperament is totally sweet and she is in excellent health. Her nutrition was quite poor and she needs to fill out. She weighs in about 55 pounds.
This dog is perfect for a family or person with the time to train her. If you invest 4 months or so with her you will have a lifetime of a great pet and best friend. If you want to meet this puppy please call us at 941 575 0243 for an appointment. She is being fostered in Naples and we require 2 days notice to bring her up to Punta Gorda for a meet and greet.
