Sara is a 5-6 year old spayed female GSD. She has all of her shots and she is housebroken and trained. She likes cats and all dogs. She weighs in at about 65#'s but can gain 15 pounds easily as she is radically underweight. She is crate trained and is very responsive. She has only been here a few hours and we will know more as time goes on.

SARA WAS ADOPTED TODAY AND IT TOOK ALL OF OUR SELF CONTROL TO SAY GOODBYE Sara is a 5-6 year old spayed female black and tan GSD. She has all of her shots and she is housebroken and obedience trained. She is Heart worm negative and she is extremely friendly and seeks out attention. She likes cats and all dogs. She weighs in at about 65#'s but can gain 15 pounds easily as she is radically underweight. She is crate trained and is very responsive to commands and treats. She has only been here a few hours (when this was written) and we will know more as time goes on. I have now had her 1.5 full days and I put up more of her photos. She is really a beautiful girl with sift fur and a gentle way about her. We now know she runs like a deer, barks at the birds, is totally housebroken and likes our pack. She has assimilated into our 6 pack seamlessly and she is just the sweetest girl going. We do not know if she like ball as yet but as she becomes more comfortable here we will see what games she knows. Time allows them to reveal more of her personality and we will monitor it. Now we do know that her temperament is excellent and that she would be right for most any household. If you are interested in her please do give us a call to do a meet and greet!
We have now had Sara for a week. This is a super dog who just loves everyone and everything. She has gained about 5 pounds and her fur is gorgeous and only trumped by her fantastic temperament. She just loves our new kitten Sebastian and is really beginning to play. She learned to swim yesterday and did it 2x with coaxing. We cannot wait to get her placed.

It was great to see Sara bond today with Mike. He told me privately that he had prayed to himself for a dog like her and just then he was handed a flier by one of our volunteers. He called me, set up the interview and it was love at first sight. Sara melted in his arms and you could see the love in his face. It is fabulous to see this dog, days from being dead, come alive and become a great new friend. Rudy was devastated at having his playmate ripped from his house, but its best for her and great for Mike. Rudy on the other hand will have the next dog to play with, if having 6 at home was not enough.
