We were challenged today to find immediate homes for two male special dogs. Can you help??? ASK AND THEY WILL COME FORWARD

DIANE AND I ARE HAPPY TO REPORT THAT BOTH BOYS WENT HOME TO THEIR NEW FOREVER HOMES TODAY. #199 AND 200

We got an urgent call from a family who was forced to rehome 3 GSD's.  They are named Zeus, Bear and Lady.  Lady was re-homed this morning .... whoo whooo. The two males, omne black and tan and one sable are 5 years old.   They are in perfect health and are sweet family dogs.  They were in a family where they were exposed to small children but we have not tested them with kids as yet. It is our feeling however that they would be just fine with kids.  Zeus, the sable loves to play ball and like his brother are very people friendly.  They are very social, but like most GSD's they take some time to warm up.  We spent some time with them today and the more we see them the better they are!!!  We tested them at our home and they were engaged, friendly, not overly cuddly, but we think they have been starved for affection, and would revert to more loving dogs just as soon as they became comfortable in a home with a kind family. They were never abused, well cared for and medically treated throughout their lives.  tHEY ARE CHIPPED AND hw NEGATIVE. They are no signs of any issues or agression that we saw. They seem dog friendly, but we have not lived with them so we are going on first impressions.

The males are brothers and were acquired from a back yard breeder as puppies, and the owner had them from 8 weeks on up.  They weigh in at about 85 but can loose 5-10 ponds. They have not had a lot of excercise and definately need a family that will walk them and take them swimming and have daily exercise.  They are HW negative, neutered and up to date on all shots. They should be separated because they have bonded together and need to re-bond to a new family and household BUT UPON FURTHER MEETINGS WITH THEM, THEY WOULD BE FINE TOGETHER.

They do need training in many basic areas. We would have the new owenrs take training with us at the PRDFC or sign up for at least 1 six week basic course at an approved facility.  We think these guys are a real find and welcome anyone to come and see what we mean.

The dogs will be available immediately but they may be housed at the AWL for a time because we have no room at this time here at home.  If you want a dog that is both beautiful and has a good temperament, these dogs are for you. Please do not they their 5-6 year ages put you off, they are healthy, engaged and full of life and can make any family a great pet. Call us asap if you are interested.
